How to use Grease Pencil
04/07/2011
Hello! I use sometimes the grease pencil, a quite unknown feature of blender, very useful for things like adding references, or annotations to our scene. On this tutorial, I'll show you how to use it for drawing on the 3D View, and even animate that drawings.

This tool is even more useful when you're working with a team, because it make it easy to mark things, show ideas and things like that on the scene for your coworkers, even they are on the distance :)
Hope you like it! See you!

Good details as always. Is the grease pencil only for display in the viewer? Can it be exported to (.png) frames or anything like that (other than a screen-cap)?
The 'DopeSheet' and 'NLA Editor' are a mystery to me. Will that be covered in the Hologram Project (or some future tuts)?
Keep up the good work!
Well, you can do it converting the strokes to curves, and add thickness to them so they can be rendered :) And yes, in the hologram project and future tutorials Dopesheet and NLA Editor will be covered ;)
Thanks for the comment!
Haha,
I like the silly animation!

Hola, Carlos Saltos!
Efectivamente, lo he encontrado, aquí está ;) ShowOff
Süperr!
